Devious Tangents

Devious Tangents is my first -actual- attempt at a regularly updated webcomic.

DT is an episodic feature of the unusual erotica-filled lives of brothers Renee and Remy Tamiia, Thomas Alan Kii, and a variety of other characters set in the anachronistic 26th Century.

(the following is an excerpt from the synopsis of “Outcast Legacy”, another webcomic I have in the works.)

[[ Their world takes place in the year 2518, 400 years after the sudden rapid cross-evolution phase that occurred, giving rise to the various anthropomorphic species that now exist in the 26th Century while the human race quickly became extinct in a matter of three generations.

During the first 80 years of cross-evolution, with a plethora of diverse species of anthro-beings occupying the planet, medical science fell into a dark age of uncertainty. Anatomy and Physiology among different species of the people became such a problem in the early years of the human-anthro transition that the global death rate skyrocketed to the point where the earth's population was absolutely decimated from approximately 9 billion to 2 billion.

After 3 centuries of war, disease, death and destruction, a final peace was established after the advent of the Trans-Stellar Gateway, an artificial wormhole that led to the discovery, befriending and commerce between alien races.
Within 50 years nearly all disease had been eradicated thanks to the exchange of knowledge and technology between alien societies. ]]

The general culture across the world at that time adopted a strict “pursuit of happiness” policy where the majority of society’s desire was to seek out pleasure above all else. This was all made possible solely by the rapid advancement of medical sciences and technology from the early 25th Century, and a strong family line that kept the whole planet together in the meantime. However, that continuity hangs in the balance among the two brothers Renee and Remy Tamiia, the last living members of the Tamiia Family Name.

Remy is the only one capable of carrying on the family line. His brother, Renee, being born as an intersex male with female genitalia, rendered him infertile from birth.
Remy grew up with a strong sense of duty and responsibility, understanding his role to carry on the family line. Renee adopted the majority of society’s life of lust and he and his friends constantly tempt his brother to abandon his responsibilities and follow them in the exclusive pursuit of pleasure. . .

This is all I have for a synopsis so far, new details will be updated here in the future. . .

The original concept for Devious Tangents was originally titled “Spectrum” back in 2006.  This concept was merely a thought only a few months before I created the twin characters Renee and Remy Tamiia, two contrasting variants of my original Jasen Tamiia avatar that had existed for nearly three years at that time. Over the next year I drew almost nothing but images of Renee depicted in various bondage/latex fetish scenes, I still reserved the other characters for other purposes.

I had basically split one character into three different ones. Although they were all the same orange/white foxes and beard the name Jasen Tamiia in one way or the other on  account of my narcissism, I had developed them vastly since their initial conception into the personae they are today. Renee and Remy’s relation to the original Jasen Tamiia is a subject that will be covered by my next webcomic project, Outcast Legacy.

During the past few years I created two music albums inspired by my concepts.

SPECTRUM and Devious Tangent were my earliest major music releases in 2008.
The most popular track being “69-1″ from the SPECTRUM album, a track that was originally intended to serve as a theme song for the series.
